Pontosan egy hónap múlva február 29-én kezdődik Lausanne-ban a Central European Championship, melyen először a sportág történetében a Magyar Kidobós Csapat is részt vesz.
Together with the Corvinus University and the BEFS, on the 23rd November 2019, we organized the first dodgeball tournament for Hungarian higher education institutions, it was held at the gym of the Corvinus University’s Kinizsi Dormitory.
The finals of the tournament had a fantastic atmosphere, where the all-day dominating Corvinus Slepp team made it obvious to the likewise confident Corvinus Kék Dönci Team that they were the only ones who could win the winners’ cup that day.
Zsuzsanna Csenki Györgyné Varga, the member of the ‘65 World Cup winner female handball team gave out the medals to teams on the podium.

13th June 2019. This was the day when the first 5-ball dodgeball national match was played in Hungary.
One could not even choose a more honored opponent, the Budapest Pirates hosted the World and European Champion England’s best university team, the Sheffield Arrows. 29 British university students travelled to us, who were not only curious about Budapest’s attractions, but they also wanted to play some good games.
At the first halves of the opening male and the following mixed matches we were still trying to find the balls and our place, but we managed to equalize at the second half of both games, thanks to the large and rather loud support of the spectators.
At the third match then, something happened that we were only secretly hoping for. The male Pirates team beat their renowned British opponent.

Újpest won the Challenge Day’s contests six times in a row in their category and thus became the most sporty city of the country. This is why we were thrilled to be invited to organize the 2nd Újpest Dodgeball cup on this day.
At the very first primary school dodgeball tournament of the country – held on 29th May 2019 at the gym of the Károlyi István High School – 10 mixed dodgeball teams from the district’s 9 primary schools participated.
Great atmosphere, big noise and exciting fights could be seen on the courts.
At the bronze medal bout, thanks to the wonderful catches, the Károly István Primary School and High School managed to finish at 3rd place against the Szűcs Sándor Primary School.
At the finals, the Megyeri Úti Primary School’s team tried to stop their opponent, who dominated the whole day. They didn’t succeed, so the undefeated Benkő István Református Primary School and High School won the 2nd Újpest Dodgeball Cup and received the challenge cup.
The tradition-forming Újpest Dodgeball Cup was organised on 6th February 2019 at the gym of the Károlyi István High School.
There were no ‘getting to know the game’ and ‘careful exploration’ phases, because serious fights took place at the court from the first moment, where 8 teams from 7 high schools of the district played against each other.
At the bronze medal bout, after a very close first half, the Csokonai High School confidently won the 3rd place against the Babits High School. At the finals, the – until then – undefeated Kozma Lajos Vocational High School and the Károlyi István High School met each other.
The hosts started the game better, they were leading by 8-4 after the first half, but after the court switch, the Kozma team, putting all their eggs in one basket, stormed and caught up with the Károlyi team. 90 seconds before the end, there was a 10-10 draw, meaning that the team that would win the last set, would be the champion of the Újpest Dodgeball Cup. In a very exciting game the Károlyi team managed to win and received the challenge cup,
